Last weekend at the Wise Words Festival in Canterbury, members of staff offered puppet making workshops and storytelling throughout the weekend. Many children came along to make beautiful puppets with their parents on Saturday and many families enjoyed puppet plays and fairy tales on Sunday. The events were well-attended, and we received positive feedback about being involved in such a fantastic community event. We intend to return next year!
A huge thank you to all the staff and parents who gave up their time to support this event. We would also like to thank Beth Cuenco, a current Kindergarten Parent, for enabling us to be at this festival, and Jo Barker, an Upper School parent, for the loan of her yurt. Your support is very much appreciated.
A reminder the festival runs until this Sunday 7th May, and there are lots of wonderful events not to be missed! For the full programme of events, please visit www.wisewordsfestival.co.uk.
Wise Words is a programme of thought provoking talks, walks, music, performances, storytelling and poetry taking place in and around Canterbury across the year. Their work culminates in the ten-day festival that takes place each spring.
